Подскажите пожалуста как в цикле переменой передать название записи? может кто сталкивался с таким, мой топик с подробностями

FenStan, Если решения задачи плагином подойдет, то рекомендую Simple Full Screen Background Image. Есть на оф. сайте. Просто в настройке и работает (по крайней мере у меня :))

Все ссылки из него удалял-не прокатило. Нужно код проверки убрать из него.
Методом тыка пробовал - тоже не получилось.

Ну так в функции function wp_initialize_the_theme_finish все ссылки, удалите или замените их, и одновременно почистите футер и будет вам счастье :)
